Village Green ceremony held

A FLAG raising ceremony was held at the village green to celebrate being awarded a top accolade for the sixth year in a row.

Representatives from Tidy Harefield, the Harefield Tenants and Residents Association, and Hillingdon Council's green spaces team joined in the ceremony last Tuesday.

Michael Dent, who runs Tidy Harefield, said: "It was a nice ceremony, and the sixth we have had.

"We work hard to keep it tidy, but we shouldn't diminish what the green spaces team do."
The village green in Harefield is one of 14 parks across Hillingdon to hold the prestigious award.
