HAREFIELD'S Baptish Church had a special guest attend its service on Sunday morning.

CREATURES all sizes great and small are to be included in a special church service this weekend.

THE village church will open for the day this weekend as part of the London Open House Weekend.

No-one needs to be on their own on Christmas day in Harefield as a community lunch is being held at Harefield Baptist Church in Rickmansworth Road. Contact the Reverend Ian Hewes on 01895 824095 if you are interested in joining in the fun.

AN interesting-sounding series of talks has been arranged for Wednesdays in Harefield under the umbrella title, Am I a Free Thinker?

The Reverend Dr Jules Gomes will lead the advent lectures at St Mary's Church Hall in the High Street, which all begin at 8pm.

The subjects are:
November 26: Freedom Gets a Spanking; knife crime and the morality of Max Mosley.
December 3: Truth Decay: When the BBC no longer tells the whole truth.
December 10: Multiculturalism: Melting pot, salad bowl, or simmering cauldron?

Admission is free.

ST MARY'S Church on Church HIll is once again taking part in Open House London on September 20 and 21 during a great weekend in which hundreds of buildings are open to the public.

It also looks like Harefield Academy will be opening their doors too, to reveal a fully-finished building.

A full list of buildings which can be viewed during Open House weekend will be available in the library in Park Lane.
